Pastor "D" is a homegrown Lafayette native that graduated from Lafayette Jeff and then joined the Army. After being stationed in South Korea for a year and a half, he was discharged and returned home to marry his high school sweetheart, Noel Rupp. Pastor D comments, "She is still the apple of my eye." |

The Johns family live in Clinton County north of Mulberry, about 20 minutes from church. Their next door neighbor is their daughter and son-in-law who are soon to move to Indianapolis. Her next door neighbor is her brother Chris and his family. Talk about a close-knit group! |

The Johns have three grandchildren through daughter Andra and her husband Mike Ruble and three grandchildren through son Chris and his wife Daci Schurr Johns. |

Pastor Dwight came on staff after retiring from Eli Lilly & Co. We frequently tease him because he says "My door is always open, so stop in sometime and let's talk". Don't let him fool you. He has a revolving door on his office with a constant flow of people. He also has a serious issue with showing up even on his day off! |

Pastor believes that God has a great plan for this church and his desire is to be right in the middle of that plan. "Noel and I count it a privilege to be serving our God and Saviour at First Assembly", he has shared. He recommends that "If you're looking for a place to call you church home, I would certainly suggest you consider this one, because there is something for everyone!" |
